5th Annual Neighbors Night Out in Sharpe Park

A wonderful evening was shared by all at the 5th Annual Neighbors’ Night Out in Sharpe Park on Sept 13, 2011.  A face painter, a fortune teller, food (including our famous hot dog cart) and refreshment, raffle prizes, a fire truck and crew from the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore with Fire Chief Tom Hayden, our own Supt. of Lower Merion Police, Michael McGrath, local author George Harding who recently penned Main Line by Rail, accompanied by his wife, Valerie, and our dedicated commissioners, Steven Lindner (Ward 4) and Scott Zelov (Ward 10) (Cherly Gelber, Esq. – Ward 5 – was unfortunately in Europe).  The Haverford Civic Assocaition would like to thank the Merion Cricket Club for its continued support, the Lower Merion Parks and Recreation Dept. for its fabulous upkeep of Sharpe Park, the Garden Workers who plant, prune, clean and help maintain the Park, our local business members, our family members and most of all, our fellow residents of Haverford who make our neighborhood a very special place to live.  We thank everyone who joined the Haverford Civic Association either at the event or through the mail, and those existing members who renewed; your support is greatly appreciated.

Our tireless Neighbors’ Night Out Committee is comprised of the following three dedicated and and creative ladies:  (Left to Right) Tash Duff  – Board Member;  Jane Carton -Secretary, Board Member and Creator of Neighbors’ Night Out and Lorraine Jones – Board Member & Treasurer.  Please join the Haverford Civic Association in thanking Tash, Jane and Lorraine for their tireless efforts on behalf of the residents of Haverford.
