The meeting convened at 7:30 PM, chaired by Wayne Hunt.

1. Election of Officers & Board Members.
Charles Bloom, Esquire, representing the Nominating Committee, nominated the slate of officers and new board members for consideration of the members. The slate was unanimously approved. The duly elected officers and board members for 2012 are:

2. Recognitions.
JoAnn Jackson, director of catering of the Merion Cricket Club, and the club liaison to the Haverford Civic Association, was presented with a framed water color likeness of Sharpe Park with a plaque inscribed:

Jane Carton was recognized for her creativity and dedication in the formation of Neighbor’s Night Out – Twilight in the Park as well as Art in Sharpe Park. Jane was presented with a framed water color likeness of Sharpe Park with a plaque inscribed:

3. Lecture.
A lecture and slide show, followed by a question and answer period, was presented by George Harding, author of “Main Line by Rail.” Hardcover books were available to the attendees.
4. Commissioners’ Reports.
Commissioners Gelber and Zelov reported the following:
- The Bryn Mawr Acme should open in May, 2012.
- A committee of commissioners was formed to recommend the proper disposition of some $6,900,000 in collected business tax revenue
- The 2012 budget hearings are underway, with zero increase likely for 2012.
- Use of a building with limited parking on Wynnewood Rd was defeated for a Dunkin’ Donuts.
- Rite Aid has appealed the zoning hearing board decision re the vacant lot on the corner of Lancaster & Ardmore Ave.
